Greater Lafayette Commerce will be celebrating the business community at the Annual Dinner
The event will be held in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms, with this year’s keynote speaker being economic development expert, Ed Morrison. Mr. Morrison is the Economic Policy Advisor for the Purdue Center for Regional Development. For the past several years, he has been developing new approaches to accelerate open innovation in economic and workforce development. He is currently guiding
strategy for a network of 12 colleges and universities in Louisiana. Morrison travels to China frequently, where he has negotiated joint venture agreements. He has also served as a consultant to the UN Development Program in China. Prior to starting his economic development work, Ed worked for Telesis, a corporate strategy consulting firm for clients such as Ford Motor Company, Volvo, and General Electric. He holds a BA degree cum laude with honors from Yale University and MBA and JD degrees from the University
of Virginia.
We start the evening off with a celebration of arts and culture while enjoying networking before the event. Come see local artist Angela Vinson’s work of the Lala Gallery, hear the soothing tones of local jazz guitarist, Brent Laidler and experience the voices of the PMO to kick the evening off right! Greater Lafayette Commerce will present the Digby Award, the Klink Award, the Center City Improvement Awards, the Workforce Diversity
Best Practice Award, Social Responsibility Award, the inaugural Ambassador of the Year Award, and the prestigious Grand Marquis de Lafayette Award. We will recognize Anniversary companies We will also highlight Small Business of the Month and Year Winners.
