“Next Steps and Scary Facts: A Look at the Future of Human Capital Management in 2015” with Karl Ahlrichs, SPHR
Tuesday, March 11th, 7:30 – 9:00 am, Hilton Garden Inn
Karl Ahlrichs will discuss where are we going, and what do we need to know when we get there? What strategies should business managers be considering to attract & retain the good employees they need in this changing environment? As we work through 2014, it is helpful to look beyond the basics and take a strategic view of the world of Human Capital and Benefits. In this fast-paced session, Gregory & Appel’s Karl Ahlrichs takes multiple viewpoints and projects how the world will be in 6 months.
The overall theme will be defining what competencies will be needed to meet the challenges that arrive on January 1, 2015. Karl will cover generational issues, communication, metrics, and the design of the Human Capital function itself. All of this will be mapped on top of a review of some fundamental economic data and the framework that Indiana businesses are operating in.
This will be a strategic session, offering the view from 35,000 feet with occasional dips to ground level. Participants will learn five specific competencies they need to focus on to stay relevant, and two surprising truths about the future of Human Capital.
