Franciscan Healthy Living Center is hosting "Diabetes: Doing Better Together" in 2020. The group will meet on the second Tuesday of every month, beginning Feb. 11, 2020 and ending October 13, 2020. - The small group has different topics every month to provide education concerning diabetes. It also encourages discussion and communication amongst attendees. The first topic will be...Heart Health – Exercise to Take Action. The following is a list of the rest of the year’s planned educational topics and their corresponding dates: March 10: Diabetes Prevention Alert – Wake Up and Take Charge , April 14: All Aboard – Diabetes Travel Tips , May 12: Meal Plans 101 – Making Sense of Popular Options , June 9: Let’s deSTRESS – Crafts and Sharing Time , July 14: Summer Celebration – Let’s Play , August 11: Let’s Get Cooking – Tools for Healthier Eating , September 8: Time to Take Control – Tips for Healthy Management , October 13: Pinterest Party – Learn Healthy Holiday Tips & Create a Homemade Gift. Each meeting is open to all patients and community members who have diabetes, along with their family members and friends.
