CityBus tracks all of its vehicles, predicts when they'll arrive at each bus stop, and notifies its customers by electronic signs, text messages, e-mail, and web pages. It's a complicated mixture of dispatch software and automated vehicle location hardware that creates a database that drives the text message and other communications services.
