When a tornado hit two schools south of Lafayette, Sue Scott was thrust in front of Indianapolis and local media in her new role at the Tippecanoe School Corporation. As Communications Coordinator, Sue handles media relations for one of the largest school districts in the state.
Sue spent 14 years as a reporter, anchor and assignment editor for WLFI-TV and several years as a news reporter at WASK/K-105 radio. As an Associated Press award-winning journalist, Sue interviewed President Barack Obama and Quarterback Drew Brees, as well as covered Purdue fans at the Rose Bowl, numerous murder trials and the deployment of local troops to Iraq.
Sue is devoted to her family, church and helping others. She is involved in several community organizations, such as the YWCA, Public Schools Foundation, Community Cancer Network and 4-H. She has taught media classes at Purdue University and is a member of the Tippecanoe County Extension Board. Sue has a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University and a master’s degree from the University of Illinois, Springfield.
