Tippecanoe on Canvas Plein Air Paint Out

Description

Watch artists from across Indiana paint picturesque sites in the Lafayette area.  These artists enjoy painting outdoors en plein air, as did Indiana’s most famous plein air painter, T.C. Steele. 

Anyone can join in the fun!  Register and bring your paints and canvas to paint your own masterpieces.  Registered artists will be eligible for over $1500 in prizes. 

Stop by the Museum for a map of historic sites and locations where you can find artists hard at work on their new masterpieces. 

Get to the Museum early on Saturday to get your first choice at the Artists Exhibit and Sale.  Previously completed paintings will be available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Enjoy light refreshments, meet the artists, and have a chance to buy newly completed works directly from the artists from 3 to 5 p.m.  Help to recognize the winning paintings at the awards ceremony at 4:30 p.m.  Works submitted for judging will be available for purchase after the judging is complete.
