Where we will be visiting:

• Allison Transmission, Inc.,  One Allison Way (4700W. 10^th Street), Indianapolis, Indiana
• Allison is the premier global provider of commercial duty automatic transmissions and hybrid propulsion systems. Allison products are specified by over 250 of the

world’s leading vehicle manufacturers and are used in many market sectors including bus, refuse, fire, construction, distribution, military and specialty applications.

Founded in 1915, the Allison business is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A. and employs approximately 2,800 people.

Field Trip Highlights for October 18^th:

• 7:30 am … Bus will depart from Lafayette, Meijer’s parking lot - east end (SR 26 & I-65) .

·       8:30 am …  Bus will arrive at Allison Transmission, as will anyone who drives there themselves.

• Registration at Allison with coffee and pastries.
• Group will hear/learn about Allison Transmission and their Global Manufacturing System.
• In smaller groups we will tour Plant #4, home of 1/2000 Series Transmission.
• Group will participate in a post-tour discussion with an Allison Executive Panel.
• Group will have lunch, on-site, with our Allison hosts.
• About 12:15 pm … Departure from Allison.
• About 1:30 pm … Bus will return to Lafayette, Meijer parking lot. 

 Registration Fee for Field Trip to Allison Transmission:

• $45.00 per person (includes bus transportation, plant visit & on-site lunch)
• $30.00 per person (includes plant visit & on-site lunch)

Note:  Parking is an issue at this plant, so we strongly encourage anyone living in/near Lafayette to take the bus, and those who will be driving themselves to car-pool !

How to Register to Attend Allison Transmission Field Trip on October 18^th:

1. By no later than September 28^th , your “WVLN primary contact person” must reply  (via email) and indicate # of slots your company intends to fill, and if your people

will  be riding the bus or driving themselves.  Please, direct your replies to:  nsells@greaterlafayettecommerce.com

Soon after September 28^th, your “primary contact person” will be informed of how many slots  your company has been allotted to fill, and he/she will receive a Registration

Form to be completed. 

By no later than Tuesday, October 9^th, your “primary contact person” must return your completed Registration Form and pay your registration fee(s).
