Description

On July 17th, the Alzheimer's Association is hosting their first Walk to End Alzheimer's Corporate Engagement Breakfast, sponsored by Justin Coleman of Edward Jones. At this breakfast, you will learn how Alzheimer’s disease impacts  the Greater Lafayette workforce, clients, economy, and community. In addition, we will share the various ways you can engage with the Alzheimer’s Association including volunteer leadership, Walk teams, and sponsorship.

This event is designed especially for companies who value community philanthropy and leadership. It is a great opportunity for both emerging leaders and networked professionals to learn more about Alzheimer’s Association, our mission and services, and ways to partner locally.

On Wednesday, July 17th from 7:30 - 9:00 AM at Shively Media Center at Purdue University, West Lafayette Mayor John R. Dennis will share how you can be part of the solution. If you are not able to attend, please identify a colleague to attend in your stead.

The reasons for getting involved are simple: Alzheimer’s disease is destroying our families, finances, and our future.  Alzheimer's disease cannot be prevented, cured or slowed and it is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. In Indiana, 340,000 family members and friends provide unpaid care to individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias — a physically, emotionally, and financially challenging role. Alzheimer's disease will cost the United States $290 billion in 2019 and this number is projected to rise to more than $1.1 trillion by 2050.
